What makes easy Sudoku different

Easy Sudoku puzzles on Zeloku use the highest clue target of the four daily bands. Naked and Hidden Singles are useful places to start, although the generator does not guarantee a fixed technique set.

These boards are designed for new players, children old enough to handle a 9×9 grid, and anyone who wants a short mental reset. The generator targets 38 clues, though uniqueness checks can leave a few more in place.

Easy is also the right level to introduce a partner or a child who has already tried a 6×6 kids Sudoku and wants to step up. It gives them enough givens to make progress obvious, while still requiring real deduction on every cell.

Techniques you'll actually use

These are useful techniques to study for easy sudoku boards, but the current difficulty label does not guarantee a specific solving path:

• Naked Single — Almost every cell on the board is placeable by naked or hidden single alone.
• Hidden Single — When a digit has only one legal home inside a row, column or 3×3 box.

Three tips that make easy boards click

1. Scan by digit, not by cell. Pick a digit (say, 5). Look at every 3×3 box in turn — is there one where 5 has only one possible home? Place it. Then repeat for the next digit.
2. Try scanning first. If the board stalls, pencil-marks can reveal candidates that are difficult to hold in memory.
3. Don't be afraid to slow down on the last five cells. They are usually where a Hidden Single hides in a row you haven't scanned yet.

Sudoku difficulty is a continuum, not a step-function. If you're stalling on easy boards, the fix is almost never "try harder" — it's to go back one rung and solidify the technique below.
