Why a daily Sudoku beats a random one

The reason "daily" matters isn't scarcity — Sudoku is inexhaustible — it's ritual. A puzzle that shows up in the same place at the same time each day, in a difficulty you've already chosen for yourself, removes the tiny decision cost that otherwise makes you scroll past. Five minutes of focused deduction, once a day, is one of the highest-value uses of a coffee break: it trains sustained attention and working memory without the treadmill quality of most brain-training apps.

Zeloku publishes four boards every day — one Easy, one Medium, one Hard and one Expert — after the 00:15 UTC production rebuild. Each is checked to have exactly one solution. Whichever difficulty you settle into can become your daily ritual.

The right daily difficulty is the one you can finish reliably without hints, in a time that fits the slot you're playing in. Rough guidance:

Not sure? Play today's Easy once and time yourself. If you finish in under three minutes without hesitating, Medium is your real level.

Building a streak (without the guilt)

Streaks work when they're friction-free. Zeloku stores your streak locally in your browser — no account, no server sync. That means it survives across sessions on the same device but resets if you clear cookies or switch phones. The point, however, is not the number: it's the habit of showing up. If you miss a day, the honest thing is to keep going the next day, streak reset or not. Sudoku is a five-minute daily practice, not a bookkeeping exercise.

The site rebuild starts at 00:15 UTC every day. The new boards appear after the production deployment and its date health check complete.

Do the daily puzzles have one solution?

Yes. Each generated 9×9 board is checked by the solver and published only when exactly one solution remains.

Can I play yesterday's daily Sudoku?

Yes. The recent-days list keeps the latest seven days available.

Do I need an account to save my streak?

No account is required to play. Streaks and progress are stored in your browser's local storage — nothing is uploaded to a server. Clearing browser data resets your streak.

Is there an app?

There is no native or offline app yet. You can play Zeloku in any modern mobile browser.
